Jason Lamberth Launches Collection of Elegant Furniture at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (Icff) Saturday May 15-18, 2004.
by Anonymous

May 13, 2004 -- Jason Lamberth will unveil his “Koi” collection, a luxury line of classically inspired teak and upholstered furniture at this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair, May 15-18 at the Javits Center in New York City.

Lamberth, a former athlete, has had a diverse career including fashion design and manufacturing, interior design and antiques dealing. Lamberth has traveled the world extensively over the last five years looking for exotic woods and international treasures for his high-end interior design clients. His passion for global “inspiration” and bespoke craftsmanship led him to design a strong concept of elegant furniture intended for indoor and outdoor use.

In keeping with the designer’s commitment to the environment, no trees are logged for his collection; rather, most of the timber is found, like hidden treasure, buried in rural Indonesian villages for up to 30-40 yrs. Once unearthed, the ground-cured wood is transformed into sculptural furnishings, which fuse European and Japanese influences. The 10-piece collection is monumental in scale, classical in proportion, and comprised of solid teak sofas, day beds, sideboards and settings for dining and living rooms.

Lamberth’s collection may be viewed during the ICFF at booths 1301-1305 in the Pavilion.
